The Fundisa for Change programme was awarded funding by the NRF to develop a research programme focusing on ‘teaching and learning interactions’. The title of the paper that the Fundisa for Change team presented was ‘Through my eyes or yours? A view on classroom observation research”. The paper was co-authored by Professor Heila Lotz-Sisitka, Professor Rob O’Donoghue, Dr. Ingrid Schudel, Miss Zintle Songqwaru and Mr. Lebona Nkahle. This is a research programme funded by the NRF. The focus of the paper was on using different classroom observation ‘types’ (genres) to understand how situated learning pedagogy may contribute to acquisition of environmental disciplinary knowledge.
